"After women, flowers are the most lovely thing God has given the world" - Christian Dior
As a woman that might seem a bit narcissistic, but I do truly believe that flowers are one of the most beautiful creations. I've always been fascinated with flowers for its range of colour, intricate detail, and unique scent. As a child, I had always set my eyes on having flowers covering every inch of my garden.
Living in the big city has its perks, but one thing it's definitely lacking in is flora. Most of us live in condos, which means no backyards, and there's only a few large parks here and there. So, when there is a flower viewing opportunity nearby, I try my best to make it. With early-mid July being the perfect blooming season for lavenders, of course I couldn't miss it! Unlike cherry blossoms, which can be viewed in Toronto at High Park (photos here!), you have to travel a bit out of the city for these purple gems (that is, if you want the full lavender farm experience). This year, I went to Terre Blue Lavender Farm which is located in Campbellville, around 1.5 hours away from Toronto. The moment we stepped in, we were drowned in the sweet, aromatic scent of lavender. It was absolutely beautiful!!

How cute is this yellow door?! Feeling like Alice in Wonderland!

And, of course, one of the best part about lavender farms? The lavender ice cream!

Have you been to other lavender fields this year? I'd love to check them out next year so leave them in the comments down below!
Love, Lena
