
You've probably heard of people telling you that black clothes make you look slimmer and white clothes...well not so much. I was never really a fan of white clothing to begin with, but after hearing from someone that white can make you "look fat", that gave myself a legitimate enough of a reason to avoid white.
Oh, how naive I was. Ladies (and guys), white does not make you look fat. It might not have a slimming effect that black does, but it certainly doesn't make one look fat. I don't think it's a problem with the colour, more so the shape of clothing you wear. Everyone has a unique, different body type (all beautiful in it's own way) and different styles of clothing complement people differently. Sure, not everyone looks amazing in an all-white floor-length dress (I don't know about you, but I definitely can't rock one) but it's not the white that makes it unflattering. It's just that specific combination that might not quite click for you.
I'm telling you this because I've recently started styling white on whites and I am loving it! One of my favourite combinations is this white crop top with white culottes. Another great thing about all-white outfits is that it acts as a perfect blank canvas to decorate with accessories/bags/jackets/you name it.
That being said, don't be scared of all-white outfits! Except, maybe, if you're having spaghetti for dinner.
