Here are some of the places I went to in LA, and the outfits I wore!
(P.S. We went to Palm Springs after, so check out this post for places to go and things to see in Palm Springs!)
The Hollywood Sign
Can you really say you went to LA if you didn't go see the iconic sign? It was amazing enough to see the sign from afar, but we wanted to also hike up and see the view from where the sign is. It was a hot and sweaty hike, but so so worth it.Urban Light at LACMA
Another iconic landmark. Not as large as I had expected it to be, compared to how it looked in movies and photos, but still beautiful. It's nice during the daytime, but I would definitely recommend visiting during the night. It felt so magical walking through these rows of bright lights!Beverly Hills
Despite being the home to many Hollywood stars, I unfortunately did not bump into any. I did, however, come across a number of aesthetic streets lined with towering palm trees. Ugh, if only Toronto had something like that.Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier
If you're visiting LA, you have got to allocate at least one full day as a beach day. The beaches in LA are beautiful, and the sunsets are breathtaking. I visited both Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier within one day. We drove from one beach to the other, but it's close enough to be walkable too (around 40-60 minutes).Malibu
Who doesn't love a swimsuit that can double as a regular outfit? This super cute white top is just one part of my white bikini, but when it's that cute I just had to wear it as an outfit. Malibu beach was a little less crowded than Venice and Santa Monica, but nonetheless gorgeous. If you happen to visit, you definitely need to go to Malibu Farm! The view and the food there is bomb.Melrose Place
So the story behind this photo is pretty funny. We had initially planned on going to Melrose Place to get bubble tea from Alfred's Tea Room and to take a photo in front of a really cute pink wall adorned with cacti. We achieved neither of them. We unfortunately arrived just shortly after Alfred's closed for the day. And the pink wall? We spent quite some time searching for it, only to find out that the wall had been painted blue. I'm not going to lie, I was a bit disappointed...but hey, the blue ended up turning out pretty nice!
In-N-Out
I was pretty excited for this one. I'm a huge lover of Shake Shack, but I've always wanted to try In-N-Out because of its crazy mixed reviews. Apparently you either love it or you hate it. And....I hate to say it but I didn't love it. The one thing I did love is their interior. The red & white retro vibes are so fun!Do you have any LA spots that you like to go to, that I missed in this post? Let me know so I can check it out next time!
I wish for the great of success in all of our destiny endeavors
